The Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Center welcomes patients with a variety of chronic conditions, particularly those who want to take control of their disease. Through education and effective disease management, we help patients take ownership of their lives so that a chronic disease becomes something manageable—not a defining characteristic.

No matter where you are in your journey, whether you are focused on prevention, were recently diagnosed or have been managing a health concern for a while, we are here to help.

We treat patients throughout their lifespan. We accept most insurance plans, including Medicare and Medicaid.

The Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Center at Providence St. Patrick Hospital is one of only a few destinations in Western Montana that serve as a one-stop shop for comprehensive, patient-centered, team-based care for those affected by diabetes, metabolic disorders and endocrine disorders.

Specialist types

The Endocrinology, Diabetes and Nutrition Center providers work with patients one-on-one to help manage and prevent disease through personalized care.

Our treatment requires input from multiple specialists to develop and apply the best treatment plan for each patient.

A physician assistant (PA-C) is a licensed and certified health care professional who practices medicine in partnership with a doctor. A PA-C offers high quality care by listening to your concerns, treating your condition and helping you make important health care decisions.

A certified diabetes care and education specialist (CDCES) is a health care professional who possesses comprehensive knowledge and experience in diabetes management, pre-diabetes and diabetes prevention. CDCESs educate and support people affected by diabetes to understand and manage the condition. CDCESs also promote self-management to achieve individualized behavioral and treatment goals that optimize health outcomes. Many diabetes care and education specialists are also certified in training patients on insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitors and have extensive knowledge of how each of these diabetes management devices work. Our specialists can help you determine which device is right for you.

Registered dietitians (RD) are the food and nutrition experts who translate the science of nutrition into practical solutions for healthy living. RDs use their nutrition expertise to help individuals make unique, positive lifestyle changes to achieve a health-related goal.

Pharmacists are health care professionals who practice in pharmacy, the field of health sciences focusing on safe and effective medication use. A pharmacist (PharmD) is a member of the health care team directly involved with patient care.
